Congrats on that beast/beauty. Most coolest kukri I ever saw, no joke.

It looks great in person, glad everything worked out and they got the specs/engraving done to what you asked for :)

Interesting the three skull crushers on the pommel. Very nice kuk.

Nice. How's the grip fare versus the more typical style?

Gonna refrain from watching the video, lol, but I'd been curious about "tulwar-hilted" kukris for a while. KHHI has a very fancy model that had my eye, once upon a time...

Nice. How's the grip fare versus the more typical style? Honestly, nicer then I thought. The shape really locks you in but it isn't uncomfortable despite it's appearance. It's sized properly to not jam you too much or limit your technique options. Here is a video of Purna Darnal Cutting a Lamb head with it. I am sure it would have went through with 1 shot easy if it was set higher on the stand. It looks a little larger with him lol but it's the same blade. Well damn. I think I'll avoid letting one of those near my cranium.

If you would be willing to unload one of those kukris - military grade - preferably but not necessarily rosewood handle - LoE would be interested.
I mean, how many kukris do you want to have? I'd be happy with one.

Nice, but too rich for me. I have my sights set on this one. Anyone have any experience with it or comments about it? KoA

In the same order of price, if a bit longer, there is the BSI khukuri or the World War II Battalion khukuri. Something that have to be said again, Purna Darnal's works are incredibly sharp and tough yet light and handy. Beautiful and practical. By the way, speaking of too rich Limbuwan, I have this one coming... (Why yes, even on khukuris I like bling... )

I'm just getting started. I own one sword (which I just bought a couple weeks ago). So bear with me, while I learn what I like and don't like.
I've got the itch (obsession would be a better word). There's already six new blades in my plan, mostly based off what you guys have told me. But I don't have the budget (or the wife's permission) to buy these all at once. This new hobby will become an iterative thing - ask the pro's, buy some items as finances allow, learn. This could go on for years.
Wash/rinse/repeat.

GGK has his "Balance Khukuri" on sale (79$) which looks really similar to the khukuri you linked from KOA...except a bit longer and lighter.

Seeing as I have only $362 this month for new blades, here's my priority.
**note** I'm typing this up more for my own notes than a message for others... **note**
1) Balaur Arms (3 models - Teutonic, Arming, & Italian) - available in a couple months 2) Windlass Arbedo (used - could take years to find this one) 3) EGKH - handmade khukuri from Nepal - available now for <$100 (really like the rosewood 10" model) 4) Renaissance Side Sword - available (the KA version is available now, but prefer the Windlass version which could take years to find)
