Let us know how it is. I'm interested to see how well LK does differential tempering

So am I. That's one of the reasons I went with it. Plus Swordsages review was good:

I am not sure if this will be the final version of the video or not, so consider this a beta version. Still, might be helpful while it is still up.

Interesting review. I've never been sure how to use yours - the test to destruction strategy is not in my world. OTOH, seeing what it takes to profoundly damage the sword yet still leave a piece that could function as a weapon if one were in a fight for ones life? How the tang was constructed was also of value to me - the small rat tail for the end cap was actually amusing. I had already decided on this one based on my experience with the Flying Phoenix Jian and the simple, pure, aesthetics of this dao. I can't say I see anything in this review that makes me doubt my order though I'll keep my adhesive handy in case of need Thank you for your thoughts, I do greatly appreciate hearing them.

I've never been sure how to use yours - the test to destruction strategy is not in my world. Use them in whatever way may be helpful. Objectively speaking, the close up video, the cross section of the grain structure, and seeing the swords condition after a deflected cut should be somewhat informative. I include my thoughts and a bunch of other crap if you are interested, however, the main takeaways can be whatever you find useful.

Let us know how it ends up going. I have my eyes on the Royal Arsenal Infantry Dao myself... Ring Pommels get me every time. I also like the subtle recurve on that one. Also always good to see a new Matthew Blohm.Jensen video. I’ll have to check it out, confident that out of the many Lk Chen vids that have dropped recently yours’ll set itself apart. Back to OP, Congrats on the new sword, and I’ll keep my eye out for updates on it.

That matches my experience as far as the spine being soft. As I understand it, this is the only model that is not actually made by LK Chen's people. He contracted out the work, as an experiment in outsourcing of the production. The choice of the welded on piece for the pommel cap was odd...
