My first thought was a coffin Bowie and a tanto, but I can maybe see some jambiya, if I squint.
Cool knife, whatever it is.

Sleek & lovely. No penetration problems for sure. Absolutely deadly, The grind/shape/sharpness combination make it into a giant scalpel + cleaver + dagger combination. weight alone will give it a bit of chop, though it can't be very blade heavy due to design (beefy handle) which should give quick handling. What's the POB?

I'm kind of obsessed with the Japanese mukade as a design element. I plan on making a tsuba featuring them in the near future.

That looks like one good knife. With ‘tanto’ in the name I was expecting something else. Without having handled it I’ll congratulate you on your design. I’ll extend that to designs as I just now did a search and found photos of your others that weren’t there the last time I looked. What I find interesting is that like them as opposed to much of the new stuff that I see people come up with. It looks like you have a talent for designs.

I believe what attracts me are the graceful curving lines that tend to flow. What I generally see today are straight angular lines, appearing very much sculptured. No doubt that lends itself better to the producing machinery. But then KHHI’s are not mass produced machine fabricated items. I have three of their knives.

You could drop quite a bit of weight by skeletonizing the tang or tapering its thickness toward the butt end.
Cool design, at any rate!

Very nice design, I love the grind lines and shape in general. Very creative/innovative. Not so sure about the balance, weight and tip strength (perhaps I'm a bit picky about tip strength). Not easy to get those things up to specs on an online custom order, though (especially from foreign countries, I think).

Yeah the tip looks a bit thinner(thickness-wise) in the photo then it is in person. It's actually a thicker tip then say, the natchez bowie for example. Cool. That handle looks like it gives a very secure forward and reverse grip.

A) Brother Nathaniel, that has legitimately gotta be one of the best looking Tanto-Inspired knives I’ve seen in recent memory, no blowing smoke. It’s not needlessly ornate, nor too stripped back- and it’s got the looks of solid-as-hell construction without being so overbuilt as to suggest that the best way to cut with it is throwing it at semprini. Not dainty, not chunky... *cue Thanos voice here* “Perfectly balanced....” Also love the mukade theme to the aesthetic. I'm kind of obsessed with the Japanese mukade as a design element. I plan on making a tsuba featuring them in the near future. Funnily enough, Zen, I was on the Met and the Boston MFA websites the other day and saw a few Tsuba & Fuchi/Kashira sets with that theme that blew me away. It’s really such a vicious looking little beast and it’s body construction has really eye-catching “geometry/patterning” to it that lends itself to artistic rendering and interpretation. Attachments:

Oh man, I dig this one a bunch too. Looks like a wicked boot knife Well this would require a very tall boot lol But yes this design can certainly be scaled down or up to fit different tasks. Oh yea I just looked back to a pic of you holding it haha. Gorgeous knife, would make an excellent fighting knife

I tried it with my 8 inch shaft boots and it was certainly too long. Something like this would probably work. Irish setter 860. I always wondered how a person even wore a boot knife. Everytime I try the walls of the boot are too thick for the clip or its not very comfortable

Everytime I try the walls of the boot are too thick for the clip or its not very comfortable This sheath is thick enough and wide enough that I believe simply the friction of your foot being inside will keep it in place just fine probably. With no clip. With a tall enough boot anyway. Could be wrong. You know, I think that might be why it hasn't worked for me. They don't really make many actual boots for men, you usually just find ankle boots. Why is it women get the knee highs boots, but us dudes are the ones who gotta go step into deep snow if you get your car stuck or need to shovel lol. It's not fair

It reminds me a bit of the James Williams Hissatsu and Shinbu.

I just realized I never seen thus before. I dig it, Its simplicity is elegant, and it looks wicked functional. You could design more tactical stuff, you have a knack for it. The grip scales are some of the nicest I've seen
Edit:I just noticed I already commented. Oops
