That’s a nice sword and if I were you I’d go along with Uhlan’s suggestions. To remove the brass spots would require removing brass. How much would depend on how deep they go and you would have to go about as deep with much of the guard removing much detail. The scabbard is another matter but again you can’t work only with local spots and you are letting yourself in for much time consuming labour. You might want to get an idea on a less valuable scabbard. I’d let well enough be. It’s a beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing.
