Very nice. I have said many times, that if you start with a good blade, the rest of it can always be upgraded later on. It's easy to fix a bad handle, but impossible to fix bad steel.
The true test of "value" of a sword is whether or not you are happy with it.

Thank you, I think I am happy I had to hold back from doing the saya over as it isn't worth the money but I wanted a proper koiguchi ir a printed one as it does not have any but hey it is a win I'll take it

Stephani, that is super nice. Love the tsukamaki. Not seen that style before that I remember. Also never heard on NIH before. Will look them up. And yes, very nice unokobi blade. Want one myself but maybe in a wakizashi.

Unusual Hamon for a Ryan. So many of their Hamons look like a slanted wavy sawtooth.
