The first Del Tin I bought, was in 84, it had a Del Tin stamp back then. Unless it's significantly older I'd say it's not. Forward the pictures to Del Tin and ask the experts if it's one of their older models.

The older blades were not marked very deeply.

I made a fool of myself a while back over the deltin mark,or lack thereof and missed out on a nice sword.

There seem to be several quality sword makers who had inconsistent blade marking in years past.

I once had a composite MRL/Del Tin blade for more than a decade before I finally noticed a faint remainder of an Italy mark. While I suspect the sword of this thread is an older Del Tin, I'll wait for a reply by the man himself. My 5157 is also secondhand to me but I got it from a close friend whom had ordered direct. It came to him pretty close to sharp and as I received it, rivals the Albion and A&A edges. Even the 2132 and one off 5160 came to me with pretty tight edges that would sharpen easily. The older blades were Krupp CK55 but I don't see you'll find much practical difference, with the current 6150 also used by Albion and A&A. Cheers GC

Dear Mr. Goulet,
I confirm that the sword you purchased was made by me, probably in the '90s. Maybe it was sold to Museum Replicas, in the beginning they did not like to have the blades marked but they required they marked Made in Italy.
Best regards
Fulvio

Dear Philippe,
certainly it is possible that it was made without marks. But it is also possible that the sword was disassembled in order to cancel the marks, as I noticed that it was riveted again in the top of the pommel.
Best regards
Fulvio
