I was worried from the get-go, and there were plenty of signs. The seller only joined just before listing the items for sale, and did seem to be in a rush to make the transaction. At his request I payed with paypal, which has purchase protection, so I felt it would be worth the risk even though it felt like a shot in the dark. I was overly hopeful for the sword!!!
The seller was unable to access the funds from the paypal transaction based on his seller history, there is a hold for protection of the buyer, and once after contacting paypal to understand the situation, (their stated plan was that unless he had the money, they wouldn't send the sword, and didn't know that the hold was not my bank, but was their paypal account,,, my bank transaction went through immediately_) , the seller created a shipping label for the item, but tracking never showed that the item had been brought to a usps center, the label was merely created, and that was the last I heard from dragonborn in the forum, or from usps tracking,,,
I opened a dispute with paypal because dragonborn was unresponsive and also to their emails, and will elevate the dispute to a claim after they do not reply, but I do not know if purchase protection will result in me being refunded or not. I hope so, but I would prefer if they just put the sword in the mail. I am willing to be understanding of protests and other financial troubles, after all it is the coronavirus and blm in one day, and so if I get the sword eventually I will be happy. Also I am aware that usps is funny lately, and many packages are not tracked even though they should be. However as dragonborn has not logged in, I do not know their side of the story, so I am left with the tracking status from usps as my only clue,,, which suggests they are still in possession of the sword.
All in all, I am almost 30 days past the transaction and don't have a clue if I will get the item or if the seller was well intended.
