Very good cut. Wait til you look up the price on the blade he used. Definitely not your cheap wall hanger.

Oh yeah. The Hisshou was one of CRKT's more expensive knives - and more expensive than many perfectly good swords like Hanwei/Tinker, most Windlasses, etc. Definitely not a simple or cheap blade.
And yes, that was very nice clean cut!

Looks like it sure packs a lot of slash for a foot-long blade.

An 18" version would be quite impressive. Probably'd put itself up at $350-400 though.

That was one beautiful cut and I’m truly impressed. I looked for more information on the knife and came up with these. I want one.

I’ve wanted one for awhile pgandy but the price! I can’t imagine what it would cost you with import fees, etc.

I’ve just read so many of your posts where you’ve said the cost could double or more to get something into CR.

I’ve just read so many of your posts where you’ve said the cost could double or more to get something into CR. No problem. It was only a matter of time before I woke up. Now that I know it exists and if I ever get to the States again or have someone come on a visit maybe, just maybe. There is a $500 duty free clause. Attention, attention all. I have a spare bedroom and can offer free board for those that would like to visit a beautiful tropical paradise. Hehe

Of course I’ll never win so sigh. You mentioning your grandmother’s saying reminded me of something my grandmother told me when I was seven or so. “Wish in one hand and sh*t in the other and see which gets filled up the fastest.” Guess she got tired of hearing me wish for so many things. Anyway, glad to hear things are getting better in CR. Stay safe brother.

Hehe so, I'm just guessing but it seems like everyone here has been just waiting until they can afford their next sword, (anyway, I am),,,,,, you want them to buy plane tickets...... maybe ,,,,,,, seems like a stretch?

That was said half in jest. But if someone was thinking vacation wise... But that remains in the unknown future as our borders are closed to foreigners. Even nationals have difficulty returning.

That type of blade is the same as a Moroccan Khoumya. Funny that a Fairbairn Cobra uses the other side as the cutting edge, like a Khukri. The price is quite good, but the blade is too big for legal use here. For that i have sn ISAK.
