i've been trying to find a pretty specific sword recently. I can't even seem to find custom providers that can do it because i'm wanting an all grey katana; grey ito, sageo & saya. So after a lot of searching, the only place i'm finding one it at katanasforsale.com. katanasforsale.com/product/1060-carbon-steel-heat-tempered-silver-katana/i've checked this site and online and there's mixed reviews on this seller. Additionally, i'd rather buy from someone who has stock in the US right now. That's not because of the virus or anything, its more because of shipping. well that's hampered by the virus so i guess it is about the virus, but not because of fear of a chinese sword having it on the package etc. ANYWAY, i digress. Can any pro's out there offer any thoughts, suggestions, etc.? Thanks!

I would steer away from things that don't specify a material beyond "metal alloy", because it most probably means some kind of pot metal (AKA monkey metal or white metal), an unspecific zinc alloy that's cheap and easy to cast but very brittle.

So more than likely to get this specific design I’m wanting I’m gonna have to go like commission custom with someone like cottontail customs? To get something truly trustworthy?

The most painless way would probably be to find some good blade with otherwise attractive fittings and have it redressed to your liking; just redoing the tsukamaki, saya and sageo shouldn't be prohibitively expensive.
