I think what happened after 1830 doesn't have to be kept like in a museum. Especially no military sabers. Nevertheless, all old things have their charm and they should be treated with care. Thomas That's what I keep telling my wife but she just doesn't seem to get it...

thanks, thomas. may i ask why 1830? Up until about this period there was much more independence with the swords. More art instead of uniformity. After that, it developed much more into a militarily correct uniformity. There are more of these uniform weapons, which is why they are not uncommon.
