How many folks here are concerned enough about the chronavirus that they are going to put off (or accelerate) their Longquan, etc sword buying?

How many people are concerned about the novel coronavirus, but haven't bothered to get a flu shot?

Around 14 days from China to Germany, another 10 days at customs... NO virus can "live" that long without host or "feeding ground". Just not possible.

"as zen hydra saids way more people die of the flu every year" Considering it hasn't been around a year, this is unverifiable. Projections estimate it won't, but as of now we have no definitive data.
As for the novel coronavirus, it can live on hard surfaces for a lot longer than many other viruses, but in Dandelions example, it would have to live for over 3 weeks on a hard surface, which it can't. Unless it's only passing through very cold areas. Some viruses can last decades in cold enough environments.
People who are shrugging this off as less dangerous than the flu just don't have enough data to go off of yet. Same for those who quit their jobs and are in their mountainside bunkers right now.

While there really isn't enough verifiable data to draw solid conclusions, this new coronavirus seems to be transmitted at a higher rate than SARS or MERS, but with a lower occurrence of morbidity than those earlier strains.

Doubt is fine, but we have no clue don't know how many people it kills in a year as it's been like 2 ish months so far.
I think people don't care about the flu (aside from those it kills and their families) because we've all had it at one point or another, and it is familiar. The reason there is so much stir with this corona virus is that it's unfamiliar, and absolutely wrecked China. They decided to put their economy into a nosedive they were so concerned about it, and it's hard to take their numbers seriously as they aren't often honest about things that would give the appearance of weakness or vulnerability.
That is why many think the mortality rates are probably much higher in China than reported. Plus there are plenty of reasons to raise an eyebrow at the situation, and when people are inundated with these reasons all at once over the internet, it can make them feel like it's much more dangerous than it actually is. *shrug*

I’m not worried. Tons of imports into the USA from China everyday and not one confirmed death in the USA yet sooooo... No need to be concerned and has been around for a long time. Same as the whole Ebola deal

It's still too early to tell just how bad the virus will be, there's talk of kidney damage and infertility in people surviving the infection. As for their sword market, it'll be just fine- clients aren't going anywhere.

I challenge any disease to make me infertile. I can already imagine all the paternity claims in China being challenged with "...but I had the Corona-Virus!".

I'm not an expert or up to date on the details but it seems like the flu generally only kills old people, infants or people in poor shape. The corona is killing those people but also healthy, younger people. That's why its scary and such a big deal. A fit 25 year old can ride out the flu with high success chance. The corona virus, not so much.

I don't buy Chinese so it is not an issue with me.
The last time I had a flu shot I was sicker than a dog for 5 weeks so no more flu shots. Too old to voluntarily expose myself to heavy metals and unknown animal proteins, not to mention incompetent medical staff.

The Corona virus ought to be afraid of catching a case of me. Not the other way around.

I'm suspending orders because I'm concerned that the various efforts at containing the coronavirus will foul up shipping. Several sellers have already put notices up about being unable to service orders. I'm not buying any more stuff direct from China until the threat of disruptions is over. They already had too many specious excuses for slow shipping as things were.
