Kabar's zombie line are on clearance for 50%+ off right now: www.kabar.com/products/thumbnail.jsp?shop=clearanceI got a war sword and the tanto--I was worried they would be gimmicky but that are really nice knives and come with a good set of accessories. They are US made models with the 1095 Cro-Van steel. The tanto is really nice and would make a decent camping knife.

I have the Pestilence (the blade, not the sickness ), Zomstro cleaver and Swabbie (sold out) scimitar, all American made 1095 Cro-Van. Some were put off by the green handle scales, not realizing they included black handles in the kit. The lighter weight Pestilence makes a great garden tool while the Zomstro and Swabbie offer amazing quality and power for the price and in unusual blade profiles. I would say the handles are the biggest weakness and you may want to alter for personal taste. I've been thinking about snagging the War sword.

The war sword is very cool. Definitely a great value. I thought about the pestilence chopper too. I do like the look of it. Kind of unusual.

For some reason Big Five Sporting Goods was offering the Pestilence (American made with Cro-Van steel) for around $27 a few years back. I should have bought more than one at such a crazy price. Zomstro was $40 on SMKW and got the Swabbie on the Ka-Bar site. I might just have to bust a move on that War Sword (to keep the other three Zombie blades company ). It really is quite a bit of American made full tang 1095 CV for those prices. Watch YouTube Zombie Go Boom on what that Swabbie did to the simulated human head/torso . Pretty impressive.

It's nice to look at Kabar's website again after a long time break from collecting knives of this type. I will say that this new model looks REALLY up my alley. I haven't seen a modern combat style knife that I have really cared for in awhile but this strikes my fancy. www.kabar.com/products/1266That is a nice sleek blade. Wonder if the back edge can be sharpened?

That is a nice sleek blade. Wonder if the back edge can be sharpened? Looks like the back edge would be easily ground to an edge, it looks like maybe 1mm-2mm wide. That is one wicked knife. Kabar had a 40% off sitewide sale for black Friday but you may not be able to wait that long.
