I`am wanting a folded steel/damascus dao. I`ve noticed several different makers and vendors on ebay and other internet sites, selling swords from Longquan China. Is there much defference between Sino, Hanbon,Hanlon, and others? The photos of their wares seem similar if not identical. Who`s a good value and who`s not-so-much?

sino and hanbon are ok, i dont know about the rest, really dont know if they get their swords from the same forge or not but the designs are similar all around for sure

Huawei is the most reliable of Lonquan forges, but they dont do Dao as far as i know it. We have a beautiful "horse chop Dao" from Hanbon, solidly made, can recommend them. We also have some curved swords and movie type swords from Ryansword, but theyre not liked too much. Never had problems so far.
