Hello! I’ve been looking to start my collection with something Middle Eastern and I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations about a good quality, fair priced Jambiya or Khanjar. Jile/Qolxad would work too, but I would prefer middle eastern.

If you're happy with a modern replica, the Windlass jambiya might be good: www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=402118&name=Arab+Jambiya (Deepeeka does a cheaper one). If you're after an antique, "good quality" and "cheap" can be hard to find together for a jambiya. You can get lucky sometimes on ebay, but you need to learn to recognise good quality. Or lower your standards for quality, or increase your budget. For antiques, I'd first try Oriental Arms who usually has some listed: www.oriental-arms.com/items.php?coll=2&cat=3A jile can often be found cheap, but these won't be as "good quality" as a good jambiya.
