THIS helmet is available on KOA for $47.**. I used the liner from another helmet that was too tight, added leather 'dog-ear' cheek flaps and a leather chin cord. Fits like an old, worn out Stetson hat. Really 'merc'-looking. Â I like the simple look of the cone helmets. Would prolly deflect the force of sword blows really well too

I got this helmet at the GA. ren fest from a guy I was talking to. He said he made helmets and had a few to sell, It was so crazy I couldnt resest it.I know it's more fantasy than true to ever being worn by a warrior but it gets a lot of pictures taken of it.

Fantasy alright, but someone wearing this and surprise charging you out of the night... Woo!
Nice handles to twist off his neck too

True enough, Chaos. Or something more recent, haven't played in 10 years.

If you're planning on using a bow go for the kettle type over a nasal type helm. The nasal type will throw off your depth perception. I have both types and prefer the kettle type when shooting and the nasal for melee.

Ended up picking up a Nasal helmet haha. Mostly cause it was only 65$ Canadian, made from windlass, and one of the designs I liked most as far as function goes

Or better yet, if I can convince my knife store to stock them and wait till the price drops 😂

You'll enjoy that Epic Armoury Norman. I have their Sugarloaf Great Helm and German Gothic Sallet, both in the darkened finish. They are basically maintenance-free. I've had them for several years now, and not a speck of rust. Same with my full suit of darkened Epic Warrior armor. Great stuff!

I tried put on my best mean face I look like a bird *edit* Turns out that with padding, the Nasal part only goes to the bottom of the node and not to the chin like mine is in the pic
