EXACTLY my reason why I wouldn't monkey around with the killing Hitler scenarios. Because you take out one bad guy- wait until he is bad, or kill him as an infant and avoid it all? Kill his parents? Somebody else comes along and does a similar thing. Jim Jones. Pol Pot. Kill them also? Why not take out their parents? Sooner or later, you will end up killing everybody. Nope. Let the world be the world. I want to make money Do his mom What if that already happened, and YOU were actually Hitler's father? What if, in trying to prevent history, YOU were the cause of it? What if, no matter what you did, YOU were the causality of the timeline? In your attempt to change it, you made it so. You are the inevitable result of your own actions.

That would be interesting at least... Kill him in art school?

What if your traveling to the past made the universe implode by causing the same matter and energy which comprise your being (and whatever else you bring with you) to exist in two places at the same time (frame of reference)? What if your traveling to a parallel universe (which is otherwise identical to our past at the point you intended to travel to) caused two otherwise closed systems (the two universes in question) to no longer be closed systems, and in doing so initiated the fundamental breakdown of both systems (See: the Second Law of Thermodynamics)? What if the whole notion of parallel universes based on our decisions was laughably anthropocentric (Cthulhu fhtagn!)?

The physical possibility of time travel and thoughts about time paradoxes are two different things. I'd make much money and kill Hitler later (whatever "later" means, perhaps with a cutlass machete, in the case of me realising my nanobot plan first, whatever "first" means).

Time travel! When do we want it? That's irrelevant!
