So I know that Devil's edge isn't a historical example of a gladius it is close though so it could be in it's own fantasy category, what are other's thoughts on that idea? Is there a better fantasy option that looks like a gladius without going Albion, Deepeeka or custom?

Devil's Edge is a far superior product to Deepeeka

Well, the Windlass "Classic Hoplite Sword" is a very decent buy and much more like a fantasy gladius than an actual hoplite sword...

Or its Windlass brother: Roman Centurio Gladius Nice but rather fantasy than historic. Very light due to hollow metal hilt parts. The Gen2/Legacy Arms Maintz is also not historical correct but a heavy impessive "arming" sword. Maintz with wrapped grip:

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

You could just go the cheap route for starters and get a CS Gladius machete. I love mine. It's the one -sword- in my collection that I regularly beat the crap out of, and it just keeps coming back for more. I'm thinking about getting a second one and polishing the blade, then painting the handle to look like wood and metal---then hang it on the wall just to look at.

The wife got me this (among others) for Christmas. I think it could pass for either a greek sword or even a Gladius. It was a bit less than a hundred bucks but is full tang and built very solid. Plus I love the damascus pattern and it came with a sheath BTW it was made in Pakistan by Mountain Forge. The Damascus Steel is 1095 and 15N20e .

^^^ I am voting Pakistan. ^^^
Edit: for context when I posted this the post above said the sword was made in England.
Nice gift! I also got a short sword from my significant other.

I don't see anything even vaguely Greek about that, to be honest. Very nice looking fantasy gladius, though!
