Might I ask where you got the rack?

Sure. I made them. Two pieces of poplar. A 1" X 6" and a 1" X 8", cut to length. Trim the corners off, glue them together, sanded, stained, and clear coat. And lastly the hooks that I linked in the previous post. Very quick and easy. They do their job well and they look nice.
I'm already thinking about another one. Just not sure where in the house to put it.

He said he built them. Looks like he either layered two pieces of board together after cutting them or used a router to get the layered look. Pretty simple but that’s what I like. They look good without being nicer than the swords. Like the way he angled one.

And FYI: poplar doesn’t stain very well. You used a very dark stain which is good for poplar. If you use a light colored stain it would probably show up multicolored because that’s how poplar starts out. If doing a light stain use pine, oak or some wood that will accept stain better. They look very good joe.

Pretty simple but that’s what I like. They look good without being nicer than the swords. It was a photo finish. :) The simple look was precisely what I was going for. The rack looks nice when you're actually look at it. But if you're looking at the swords, you don't even notice it's there.

It had a really nice two tone pattern in the wood that I was hoping would come through, but it was mostly covered. up. I thought about getting a lighter colored stain, but decided to just use what I have. Still came out nice.

Sort of like the ubiquitous katana display racks we are all familiar with. Plain black and simple to show off the swords.

Thanks those are some lovely looking racks. I just realised how that might be misconstrued out of context

I got my VA Irish Ring Longsword, so my 6-sword rack is finally filled. I'm not sure if things will get moved around, but it's going to stay like this for a little while at least. The rack is holding two Atrims, followed by the new VA Ring, Albion Fiore, and then two more Atrims.

Thanks! I was looking for a way to hang my matched broadswords flanking the fireplace (BF doesn't know I'm doing this yet). I will have to check the craft stores for an interesting placard for a backing.

The rack isn't full yet, but I'm not sure when I'll have the other two swords, so I'll put this picture up for now. I had a basic three tier katana stand, but ran out of room. So I got a 6 tier rack for the wall. Starting from the top: - Huawei Unokubi Zukuri (Tsuka done by Cottontail Customs)
- Munetoshi Performance Cutter
- Dragon King Spring Sakura
- Skyjiro Hanabira
The last two spots are reserved for a second Huawei that I have ordered. And my SBG Kuramono, that is currently in Josh's talented hands at Cottontail Customs.

I finally got around to taking a couple more photos.
These are the only Viking swords that I have. The Ulfberht and the River Witham.
And here are a couple versions of the Master Sword. The one on the right is the special one. That sword was made for me by Rob Miller quite some time ago. I think it was around 2003 but not certain. The one on the left is just plastic. I bought it because I always liked the Master Sword with the blue hilt. I've always had them handing as a pair.
Awesome, I can hear the title theme playing in my head as I see this sword. That's awesome

I like that diagonal display. Classy and understated, with a “high capacity” that accommodates the cross hilts Great idea Very nice
