I recently received this knife as a gift from a friend. I thought I would share my thoughts on it
The blade: the 4 7/8" blade is double edged, powder coated 7Cr17MoV "high carbon" stainless steel. In reality, this steel is much more comparable to 440A than anything, based on the light research I have done. But it comes quite sharp, not quite shaving but it can slice paper well enough. It's very pointy too
The handle: the black rubberized handle is swelled in the center, and has a nice feeling to it. It's comfortable to grip and pretty nice looking
The sheath: the sheath is made of a mixture of thick genuine leather and a faux leather, and sports a spring clip to to fix itself unto your boot, and has a nice button clip lock. The blade fits the sheath nicely
The knife has a really nice balance to it, balancing on the handle half an inch from the guard, so the point control is excellent. I have not tested it yet, but for dry handling, it's a fun little thing. And for 35$ CAD, you can't go wrong with it

In a world of kydex, it's cool to see a leather sheath for a tactical knife. I'm gonna bookmark one of these.
How much does the whole package weigh?

Nice. Most list it as 440c.
Or should I say, some do.
Nice piece anyway.

It reminds me a lot of the old Gerber Mk 1. The grippy grips can be nice. The last little boot knife I had was a really poor excuse of a late Western brand model W77 with really soft stainless. Watch out for solvents and other chemicals on the grip. I don't know what it is but some materials go to goo and get sticky and soft.
Cheers GC

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

Was throwing it (and sticking!) at a tree and missed. Never did find it. One of these days, 5000 years from now, some archaeologist..........

Would suck to accidentally ruin the knife when trying to clean it. I hear the tang was not too long in the older models. Not sure if they fixed it or not

It never was a skill I had enough knives to learn properly
