Highly recommend the Mercenaey, I picked up a Mercenary from KOA with oxblood grip just last month. Probably one of the top 2 handling Albions. Depending on your tastes. And an overall fun and cool sword.

A few new ones, including a doge, earl, sovereign, and berserker. If I wasn't tapped for home repairs that berserk would be mine. 3rd doge in a short time as well. So many in stock now!

I bought a Caithness and paid KoA in full in December. I sure hope one of those is mine.

It's not a 100% guarantee, because it does require my attention, but I catch probably 90-95% of new Albions in stock within a few minutes of them being posted.

The amount of "fresh" Albions at KOA lately is really mind-boggling, must be like dozens over the last months...
Do we know if KOA ordered all these blades two years prior like we have to or is there some sort of bespoke venture that makes them a prefered buyer/reseller? I have a faint memory of reading something like Albion is using KOA as an extra selling plattform and KOA enjoys the additional browsing of their catalogue?

I have heard that Albion always makes more blades and hilt parts than there are orders - they have to account for all the mishaps during milling, quenching, grinding, some are even ruined during final steps... Some of these extra finished swords are then offered on various Albion live events, but they have no program or option of selling them online themselves, so they are predominantly using Kult of Athena for these extra swords - so not all of the swords KoA gets were even ordered up in front.

I'm assuming that doesn't make them go above the total limited production counts though, correct?

I'm assuming that doesn't make them go above the total limited production counts though, correct? I'd assume that too. But I don't really know. I assume you don't ever see your sword's serial number? I never bought directly from Albion USA, my first, Albion Earl was bought from Albion Europe (Søren Niedziella) when that was still operating (almost 15 years ago!), and the second one was second hand Albion Ljubljana, bought from Kult of Athena last year.

I'll be honest, I don't understand the point of having limited run items like this and not providing some sort of serial number or certificate noting that the item is x/1000. Albion could still be making the Valkirja and no one would ever know that they had surpassed the production limit.
