Those looked like nice straight cuts. Did the last cut take the dowel on the stand? Nope, it cuts the ppr core and the roll flew off from the stand. :) Thanks for watching. These swords have very hard edge (1095 DH). The resistant felt during the cut was mainly due to its high thickness.

By 'high thickness' do you mean an average, regular multi purpose shinogi as opposed to a slim, specialized cutter you often custom order?
