I had bought three CS English Backswords and one of them had a badly tempered blade. So I decided to put an H/T Bastard sword blade on the CS hilt. Cut and ground the Hanwei’s tang to match the shape of the CS SEB’S tang using an angle grinder and a belt sander, then rethreaded the top portion and put it all together using epoxy. Turned out this wasn’t as hard as I thought – it was a fun project and the results turned out quite satisfying.

Freakin' sweet! I have an old Scottish basket that I've thought about doing this to, but with the EMSH blade. I think you just convinced me!

Well, that looks wrong and not wrong at all at the same time. What's that kind of black magic? Seem like you're one of those lvl 99 franken-wizards...
Good job, dude! You can imagine there are some people who want to watch some test cuttings .

The end result is so cool! It makes me think of a family sword passed down and rehilted through generations

Thank you all for the kind words, gentlemen. Messing with this franken stuff is a nice way to get something a bit more unique, without spending big money. And can be fun, in times of sedateness.

Ahem, come on. "Bearing" is really the wrong word. I'd rather call it "enjoying" .

Damn....I've gotta do this with my Scottish basket on a EMSHS blade. Now, if I can just FIND A BLADE! They seem to be universally sold-out or grossly overpriced everywhere else. .....
