I purchased a 71 inch Longbow from Ringing Rocks Archery this week and it should be arriving in about 5-7 days. I have owned a few bows years ago when I was younger. I had a longbow, recurve bow, compound bow etc back then and really used to enjoy shooting them. Given my current medical condition, I think using a bow for practice would be good exercise for my upper torso.
Since I am only going to use the bow for practice and not hunting, the bows offered by Ringing Rocks seem to be a good choice for me. I am not sure about the quality of the hickory though as I have no prior experience with them.
Has anybody else owned and used the bows? If so what are your thoughts? I know from past experience that hand shock can be a problem with some recurve and longbows.
