I am hoping that some here may be able to link me to some good pell training vids or resources.Have a standing pole in the yard and have a good, stout stick around 2 pounds I can use just to get the correct movements and orientation.Rough carved a rudimentary handle in the stick and tested it's strength so all I need is some tuition.Note that I live in a rural area in Australia and there are no options for any learning for me other than online. Thanks.

Go to YouTube, nad search "SCA PELL" you'll get lots of things to watch. FYI...the SCA is 'The Society for Creative Anachronisms' a huge medieval recreation group. They fight with rattan weapons. But I think you'll find what you're looking for. Also look for '100 day pell challenge'. I hope that helps

Thanks.I found one called the century challenge but it was terrible sound quality and the sequence was all over the place. I will definitely check out those you recommended

Keep in mind, slow work means SLOW. It is an integral part of teaching muscle memory and edge control.

how long does it take to a normal person to get fully trained in swords? and does using pell technique helps you learn faster or just used to practice?

Fully trained? Oh...you won't live long enough to ever be *fully* trained. Very philosophical question there...ask any martial artist. But I would say with a combination of pell and live training, you could be what i'd call, 'a solid journeyman level warrior' in 2-4 years. Depends on how much time you have, level of athleticism etc. Now if you're anything like me, that 2-4 took me about 10....
