Jian to be specific but I'm down with the Dao too. Preferably military based sources, such as drills, are my preference, but am open to sources, that people who practice different sword styles, approve of.
I'm not too into the stylist dance looking stuff, even if it's designed to exercise the muscles used in the style. I'm not really into the mystical stuff either. I find the forms too long and complex to memorize
Well. Unless you spar and swear by it, then recommend away.
Also, I'm open to pdf/picture sources as well. Those can be quite good for learning

It's kind of hard to say really since a lot of it really is of the wushu dance and taichi reflex variety. On the practical side, Rodell's posts are usually just very concise and artistic demos. As far as shear (or rather, sheer) technical videos for combat implement, I'm actually stumped. I'll try to jog my memory (and look through old folders and the like) to scrounge something up.

But is Swordsage an expert? A definitive source? Simply because one has a youtube channel doesn't equate to technical proficiency. For example, consider his videos on SBG custom ko-katana. Not bad per se, but not quotable.
I've yet to indulge in his more pertinent demonstrations, although what I have seen is of little validity in the sense of direct physical application.
So do not call me an ineffectual bastard as of yet

So, to clarify, I did come across as a bit (unfairly) harsh on Sword Sage. He does make some good videos. I've always enjoyed this one and it is highly relevant to the topic of techniques with practical utility.
