After watching and reading some reviews I decided to order a Musashi Bamboo Fast Cutter this morning. Amazon listed 4 in stock so I figured what the heck. It should be here Thursday. I like the idea of the small tanto style tsuba, but I think it would have been just as well to have a Musashi style tsuba as well.

$199.99 on Amazon, free 2 day shipping. I know it's a bit outdated, but I liked the reviews and like the sword itself so...anything I buy is mainly going to be for display, maybe some occasional light cutting. I'm sure down the road I will be willing to invest more money on better quality, but until then it's small steps for me, under or a bit over $300 is my limit for now so it fit the bill.

That's cool. I believe that's the one Paul designed with the folks at Musashi. Feel free to share your thoughts with us when you get it.

Yes you are correct, and I will share indeed although I have zero experience in Katanas. Im relying soley on reviews with this purchase. I couldnt find a bad review and I like the minimalist approach of the design. I was hoping someone on the forum might have one as well and share their thoughts on it.

I own 2 comming on 3 Musashi swords that were way cheaper than this one, (like $60) and they are very high quality for the price from what I have seen. Fittings on mushashi swords are usually a little on the cheaper side, but the the blade is amazing quality. This should be a killer for water bottles, pool noodles and tatami mats, just make sure you do not hit anything to hard like bamboo as this is a lighter weight cutter. Let us know how you like it!
