Han Jian, which is the steel sword of the Han Dynasty, is the last massively deployed battle Jian in Chinese history. After Han Jian, Jian was still treasured and loved throughout the ages, but never again used in any significant manner in a real battle field. A ledger from a regional arsenal wrote, "There are 99,995 Jian in our arsenal" that give us an idea, how widely used is Han Jian. Han Jian is considered by many researchers and collectors today, the zenith of Chinese Jian. It's construction and design was shape by the requirements from the battlefield and represent the highest technical achievement in metallurgy at the time. One major collector of ancient Chinese sword of all ages, wrote a book about his collection and from his experience, the blade quality of Han Jian surpass most of the Jian in the subsequent dynasty in terms of strength, flexibility, surpass even some of the blade made in the 20th century. Considered these are 2000 year old artifacts, this tells a lot about the accomplishments of the ancient swords smith that master and maximized the ability of a "new" metal - iron. There are a lot of Han Jian in the market today but this recent replica, is considered as the most accurate reconstruction of a battle field Han Jian in terms of its shape, length and weight. lkchensword.com/white-arc

Here in NJ we do get the best tomato and diners in the world, but unfortunately we have little access to real specimens to study. Only folks in China have this fortune.
