Please do a review when it arrives. I am wary of the casting quality.

My katana was from SoN which makes their swords from RS. I like the sword for the price but others noticed flaws in it so I would be weary.

Very interesting, and a big leap of faith.
Let us know how it turns out.

Good point. We should all take turns making questionable sword buys and reviewing them, to entertain our community.

I’m interested to see if it’s functional too. And I agree we need more variety in our reviews. It’s all good to say the Albion you bought is great, no surprise there, but I’d like to see if some questionable makers have improved.

But does the pommel blink?

More than a pound heavier than advertised is a bummer That affects handling a lot.

What's the pommel made out of? I actually really like the guard and blade profile.

Nice, man. I just got my thundercats sword from them. They had to do it from scratch. They are offering it now. This is real nice. Nice blade.

Nice, man. I just got my thundercats sword from them. They had to do it from scratch. They are offering it now. This is real nice. Nice blade. Can you give me a little more info on how you got that done? I just mean like how the process was? Did you provide them with very specific measurements, etc.? I went to Facebook and pm them. They already had the rough idea when they made a knife version. It was much smaller and I said how I'd like a sword length and how their Wallace claymore blade was basically a good base to start with. The one they made that was real small actually had a light inside or something to light the symbol. I wanted a functional sword so they had to make it from scratch. They wanted to make it with wood handle and alloy but I said I didn't care about the weight, that I'd just get stronger. So they did iron. They couldn't do the size blade I wanted because the end weight and length would have been to long to ship so with that in mind we chose the style blade. I did give them pics of a bunch of Western style designs too. I did ask them to make a leather covered wood scabbard with sword belt with the symbol on it too. White leather over wood with chapes, the whole shibang!T they tried to find a vendor that could make it but couldn't find good enough leather or someone to make it the way we wanted at the quality we wanted. They said they could only provide a plain leather sheath to cover the blade. But they did end up sending a decent wood covered leather scabbard. I can add the sword belt myself. I am having them make a special spec Conan in which I did provided a rather detailed scetch of length of cutting portion blade, bohi size, blade plain size, and handle length. I'll post when it's here. Just better PoB for such a heavy sword. Should be 0 to 2" at most when done. Still about a 7lbs sword!

Really tempted by the Conan sword there.
And I agree we need to break new ground and take risks.
That's how it started. A sword looks cool or calls to you, buy it, review it.
That's how brands built a rep.
I finally bought a strongblade boromir.
I'm happy with it! Could do a review I spose.

It's ok.Good steel and I have whacked it on my standing log/pole pell with no damage.Finish is a little rough with some grinding hollows but acceptable and I sanded the blade to 1200,guard gap isn't flush and edge was uneven and wasn't enough to cut a finger when drawn over it but I sorted that.I painted the pommel cross a deep red too. Around $240 delivered it is a good entry level weapon here in Australia.
