I knocked this one out between blades. It is a herb chopper of a different style to the last, designed to be used in a rocking motion on a chopping board. Its not quite finished in the photos. The excess paint needed wiping off with thinners, and the tip of the blade needed a polish. Steel is from an old jack handle. The blade was forged, and the handle was given a nice twist and simple leaf design with chiseling, which didnt go anywhere near as well as I would like. The blade was ground by hand, heat treated by hardening in brine and then tempering to straw yellow in the oven. The handle was cleaned using a 3M surface conditioning wheel, in a die grinder, then sprayed with primer, base and topcoat of satin black, then topped off all over with a good coat of clear laquer. Here is the whole knife. The handle is upswept to allow the hand to clear the chopping surface. Excuse the poor photo. My "photographer" was having a bad day. Obviously the edge is supposed to point straight down in the shot, but she was holding the bloody camera wonky. And here is a close up of the blade;
