Yeah, I'm not too thrilled with this one either tbh. The tsuka shape and fittings are a bit off, and a sword priced in this range that doesn't have alternating ito is really a head-scratcher, predicative of issues with the ito-maki that can figuratively and literally unravel given time. Not sure if this is a good choice, which is a shame since the overall color scheme is epic (even though I avoid white ito since it shows the dirt far too easily), but there's clearly some issues with it out of the box that shouldn't really be present on a sword costing $1,000.

The heck happened? The sword had quite a few flaws, they were identified, the thread creator flipped out at hearing (justified) critiques about his purchase, threw around barbs and now he's gone entirely?
Why is this forum so heated all the time these days? It's just discussion about swords. Sheesh

I would've simply said: "it's my money, I'll spend it how I please." I might've stuck around, and read comments, but most likely, I would've just accepted opinions, or criticism, and hopped on another thread.
