Congratulations on your accomplishment. I hope it shoots up to your expectations. I am not into archery, it’s been over 50 years since my last bow. But that reminds me more of a flat bow rather than a long bow. Looks like a nice job.

But that reminds me more of a flat bow rather than a long bow. Looks like a nice job. You have to work Elm in kind of a flat shape to get the most out of the woods properties. I do not know if they did that to the original longbows but it made more sense for me to work it that way.

Very nice and a great job.
It is technically a longbow. True flatbows are of the style that native Americans commonly used, very wide limbs and relatively short length and examples from Papua New Guinea for instance, that are made from bamboo.Yet the bows from PNG carved from palm staves are longbows. The heavy poundage warbows had much thicker limbs due to the poundage being so high, and generally were deeper than the bow was wide. This has caused some to believe that only "true" longbows should have those characteristics, yet most non-laminated bows, carved from a stick basically, are still classified as longbows.Modern laminated items sold as longbows, technically are long flatbows.

The bow shoots great but I have to hold a little higher because it is not as efficient as the tatar style bows I am used to but then again I don't expect it to be as efficient as a horse bow. It is highly accurate and a great bow.

Good to see the bow working well, and the guy pointing it.
