So I don’t even know if any still exists or if the government of China at the time had repurposed the materials, but are there any authentic ww2 Chinese broadswords? This comes from me as both a fan of antiques and Chinese swords I’m wondering if such things still exist? The overall usability as both collection item and back yard cutter, as well as it would be the first antique sword for my collection. I’m wondering if anyone on the forum might have more info on it there are any authentic ones out there, the general cost or if anyone has one in their own collection to sell.

There are antique dadao out there. Most tend to be described by sellers as Boxer War swords; genuine WW2 examples will be rare (outside China). Many of the antique dadao out there are Vietnamese rather than Chinese. Also, there are plenty of fakes (most of the advertised-as-WW2 examples out there are fakes).
Look for them from reliable dealers. If from Chinese sellers on ebay, assume fake. Antique Chinese dadao in poor condition can be found for under US$200. Better condition will usually be more.
