My pinkie and ring finger, on both hands, are curled permanently inwards to the palm, rendering my hands right next to useless. For years I've been told, by doctors, this was nerve damage. So, I just recently learned about Dupuytren’s contracture, a disorder that causes the exact symptoms I have, including the little bumps and raised lines in my palms that are the dead giveaways of the problem. I don't really blame my doctors, I gather it's not a well known condition but what I am excited about is there are a few different ways to fix it. So unless I have badly misdiagnosed myself I should be getting my hands back.

Way to go, man! I know from experience, hand problems are a b*tch, living with a severe case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for 20+ years now. Good luck on your treatments!

Who the hell told you that's nerve damage? Duputryen is not an un-common diagnosis and furthermore, nerve damage generally doesn't lead to this kind of contraction but different symptoms. You should go see a neurologist and a hand-surgeon. They know this.
