Good morning everybody! Just for info and interest: USPS still working OK to germany, but is taking VERY long to clear customs; i guess thats simply because of the crisis. All airports and customs offices are working with "skeleton crews". Shipping only took about 6 days (knife); thats quite fast. Sword from forumite (in guncase!) took over three weeks now to reach the customs office, with only 10 days shipping time.

If American owners/dealers have so much trouble selling to Europe and other areas, why do they restrict the sales to USA when there is a market in Australia and New Zealand? Sooooo many good swords for sale in the USA yet almost all of them, USA Only!
Now follows the conclusion, that whosoever shall think or find himself in his fight too weak for the agent's, or patient agent, and therefore, or by reason of his drunkenness, or unreasonable desperateness shall press within the half sword, or desperately run in of purpose to give hurt, or at least for taking of one hurt, to give another, shall most assuredly be in great danger of death or wounds, and the other shall still be safe and go free. - PARADOXES OF DEFENCE, George Silver, 1599
seth: yeah trying to plan summer camping trips now--I can't wait

RufusScorpius: Mmm, campfire, fresh fish, some 'taters gathered from the woods... paradise....
Jan 18, 2021 14:08:25 GMT
Brother Nathaniel: Don't camp too close to the forbidden forest! A word of advice brother.

christain: If I were still in my teen years, I'd be camped by a fire on the edge of my pond with lines in the water...hoping to catch breakfast. If not, then go foraging the woods for nuts and berries. Not the easiest, but you'll live.

christain: A campfire and a good bottle of Scotch sounds pretty on-time right now. But only if I have a waterproof tent. The weather here is as unpredictable as a new wife. Watch out for the forest Elves and Gnomes.

Brother Nathaniel: My old friend! Well... you will always be welcome for a spot at my campfire. I am preparing to brave the forest again for some more research.

christain: Hey, Rufus! Sorry I haven't been on in a while to chat. Just too busy with the holidays and suffering a few medical setbacks. It really bites getting old, but I can still perform. My wife may have a different opinion, but I'm referring to swordplay.

RufusScorpius: Oh, yes. "Real life" I played that game once. Outstanding graphics, but horrible game play.

nerdthenord: Howdy scorp. Just been kinda busy with real life.
Jan 16, 2021 14:44:23 GMT
RufusScorpius: Hey there Christain, Nord! Long time no see...
Jan 16, 2021 1:15:04 GMT
christain: What's up, LG! Have any new goodies to show us?
Jan 16, 2021 1:04:00 GMT
christain: What she doesn't know is that I have a little nest-egg in a secret bank account. (SSSHHHH!)
Jan 15, 2021 23:06:29 GMT
christain: I hope this year shapes up better than the last. Living on mine and the wife's Social Security checks can be a stretch sometimes. We eat lots of Ramen noodle soup.

seth: Happy new year to you too Sir
Jan 15, 2021 15:39:20 GMT

Jan 15, 2021 5:54:49 GMT
christain: What I want and what I get are two different things though.
Jan 15, 2021 2:55:12 GMT
christain: Happy belated New Years everyone. This year will find me making some cool new purchases, including a Medieval-style crossbow. Maybe a dagger or two, some sick armor pieces, and a new sword.
