My family had passed these swords on, and don't believe anyone knows the true story behind them or when/where they are from. I added a whole bunch of photos to hopefully get some help on this forum to identify what these are.
The sword with the "Ano De 1860" has the Spanish Royalty Crest, from what i have found.
The sword with the black grip has W. Read Boston Mass on the sword, very faintly but have found some information on him. I do not know what the symbol is on the handle, i thought it was CSA or GA as the main symbol as you can see but could not find anything in my search that matched that.
Any help that can get me started on these swords would be MUCH appreciated!!! Thanks in advance, let me know if you have questions or need more detail/another photo.

Welcome aboard The W Read Boston is a retailer and likely made by the Ames Manufacturing Company. It is a sword meant for a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. A surviving northern veteran of the American Civil War. www.suvcw.org/?page_id=167 William Read marked swords often have & Sons. I would have to hit the books but he was around well before the war. Figure before the mid 1870s for the sword (if I remember his timeline correctly). The Spanish sword is an 1851 model Infantry officer sword and could have been made later in the century. The general look lasted through the century. A dress sword blade.
