I'm looking to put together a blade and was wondering if anybody could offer some advice. I want to do a laminated blade with a real hamon, I've got a few beaters now and want something pretty. I would prefer a bare blade but am open to pretty much anything. My budget is around 500 dollars, I've already got a nice samagawa and a box of fittings.

i wouldn't trust laminated blade in the 500 dollar range but i can recommended a T10 blade from sheng-swords or huawei that will fit the criteria of a geometric yokote. if you want something pretty i would go with a choji hamon from either of those vendors or maybe ask them for something more accustomed to your liking.

Is there a specific reason you want a laminated blade?
