I would need more than a picture to tell. Perhaps they screw in and out in some way. It doesn't have a knob on the other side so it is hard to tell.

Actually dude, there is no need to remove the knobs. Unlike the Qama, the knobs on these are a lot farther apart and you can fit your hand in comfortably with room to spare. But if you still want to remove them then I suggest using some kind of grinder first, then move on to using bastard files when you have them nearly ground down.

How do you like that kindjal, overall? I was never really that interested in it, because it didn't look that great in the ACC/MRL pictures, but just the other night I ran across the pics at KoA and it took on a whole new aspect. I may just pick one up, but I'd appreciate a firsthand account before deciding.

I ordered mine sharp and it came sharp handles awsome the finish was almost mirror the grip is large enough for a full hand and the sheath is just as pretty well worth the money

Thanks for the info. I believe I'll send some money to KoA in the coming week or so.

They look to me like they are probably attached to the wood of the handle, either by a screw thread or by a barbed shaft. If you were careful, they may just look like brass rivets if you ground/ filed them down.
You could try turning them with padded pliers and see if they unscrew?
