It's the steel on the inside that counts.

Unless something wonderful and unbelievable happens (like winning the lotto) I'll never have a wall of steel like that...but I can dream! Great collection! Makes me enjoy my meager bundle of sharpies even more.

Great stuff from Gus. I hope he is able to keep grinding as long as he cares to. These past few years have kind of marked a second golden age of ATrim swords. With orders now through Longship Armoury, perhaps we'll not see an end of his career this year. I've just my two from eons ago and visited some of the first Rangers from CF and a really sweet sword done up by Erik Stevenson that had a fishtail pommel and a blade from Gus. Geeze, seems a lifetime ago. I should have bought that one when it went up on the block. I'm seeing a lot of heavies (size wise) coming out from him but FB shows a number sword and board items. One we are unlikely soon (except maybe a tac kat) are bare kat blades heading to mounters. I liked the CF sidesword builds From knives to rapier blades, Gus has ground a lot of steel. longship and angus are gonna do a collab later this year, with the blades coming from gus and john doing the fittings, a jian/leaf/longsword

I love the type xix and the complex hilt longsword! Beautiful pieces. Have you ever cut with a type xix or other hex blade? I've been curious how they compare to other cross sections.

I imagine there’s a good deal of work cleaning those. If you will PM your address I know someone that can clean them out for you at no charge to you.

Spanish seem to be the only ones with a lasting love affair with hex blades. Seem to be a pain to taper them decently. Either too thick to handle with speed, or too whippy to thrust. Common resolution was to fuller the blade. Afraid there is no cutting at this stage of the game.

MMM... I count 5 empty slots on that rack. Nothing to say about the rack to the right. That's half empty. Whats the matter with you? Taking it easy are you? Holydays with palm trees and parasolled drinkies on some far away beach eh? You's getting soft Dave....
Beautiful swords. Qua looks I like the middle one the best. Slender poker snake.

The display has 16 slots on one side. There are 13 swords and the Austrian War Sword scabbard (Trim/Fletcher collaboration) are as far as I can reach without a small ladder. 18a type duelling sword. Also the second oldest one in the rack. (think...) The rack to the right are my discount medis.

Impressive wall of shiny steel. For some reason your 16 slot racks are not sold here, so I had to join two 8 slot racks back to back per rack. Then again mine are not for display. Just to get stuff from the floor so I do not trip over some and dive head first into a bunch of whatever it is stacked on that slippery parquet. I much prefer your museum style method. It is orderly. You know what you have and where it is. Taking the sword out for inspection and maintenance is relatively easy. It eats wall space though and over here there is not much of that. I wish I had a quart of Jay Leno's Garage.....Heaven....
