I’ve embraced the hype and nonsense, and ordered a Zomie Tools Para Bellum. I just went with the standard finish because all the trendy kids seem to like it. Estimate for shipping is around April Fool’s Day, so I’ll just kinda be waiting.
I don’t really have a use for this thing, even if it’s as neat-o as the various YouTubers say. Nonetheless, I do like a nice bolo, and I find the proportions of this one appealing. I’ve kinda resisted getting one for a while, going instead with some of the outstanding offerings from a few of the awesome smiths ‘round here.
I did have a soft spot for the ZT Hooligan, but it went out of production before I got around to buying one. At the time, the price seemed a little high, putting it in competition with some very nice budget swords. So I waited. And missed out.
Since then, I completely used up all of my sword storage space. For sure all of it. But there is still juuuuuust enough room for a knife or two.
So I figured I would get the Para Bellum while the getting was good. Yay.
Another Para Bellum review might be a bit redundant. Hopefully, I will think of something mildly entertaining to say once it gets here.
I received a www.crkt.com/chanceinhell-machete.html I have not really had a chance to evaluate. The ZT is about twice as thick and not a lot more weight, so I imagine your new chopper will have a good amount of brawn, with less fat as it were. The CRKT seems like it might be an ok overall outdoors camping knife but not so easy to do intricate point work in chores but that is true of all in this profile.
Please do a review. I don't think there have been any ZT knife reviews here and very few ZT sword reviews at SBG.
That Chanceinhell looks like it’s a humdinger. The thought of how much trouble would it be to get into the country is the first thing that crossed my mind. Then I asked myself do I really need another machete?
ouroboros: I say we take off and nuke the whole site from orbit--it's the only way to be sure

RufusScorpius: Satellite GPS plot of Christain's property, enter into the Automatic Geometry Guidance and resurface and re-slope his entire property. Then spray it with that green seed mix from a high pressure hose. Should take 20 minutes for the whole job.

treeslicer: Rufus, why do I get this picture of you, in armor, driving some piece of air-conditioned heavy equipment you borrowed from the local railroad, scraping Christain's lawn down to bare dirt, then scattering gravel ballast all over it?

RufusScorpius: I made you a promise I would cut your grass in armor and I fully intend to keep it. I just can't promise a time. But it's gonna happen.
