Anyone here buy a custom sword from here? I want to know what to expect. My buddy bought a virtual arsenal from them, like literally everything they sell, and I was suspicious because they were so cheap, but he loves their stuff. I bought a Viking sword and was quite impressed so they are making me a custom sword. Anyone else buy anything custom from them?

Their ad sounds impressive, but it’s what they don’t tell me that bothers me. I like the fact they give the hardness, I wish more companies did the same. As for the folded steel, I’d rather have a 1095, or for that matter a good 1060, mono steel blade at that price. Strange looking scimitars. As for the sword cane-no way José. I find it strange so many glowing report syndromes, the percentages don’t add up are not logical. I would be interested in hearing from members who have Battling Swords products.

It looks like overpriced Pakistani/Indian stuff; identical to the chuff on eBay. I wouldn't buy from them.

Yeah looking more at it I think it's just a retailer for the super cheap Indian and Pakistan crap, but the prices jumped up by a ton.

Sorry, but this screams “made in Pakistan” to me. Be very wary.

Also, swo whatever happened to the custom knife they were working on for you? You've said you bought a katana, A viking sword, and a scimitar, can you post photos of them?

I love the look of the rapier. The reviews seem to be decent. And for the price?
Perhaps I'll give it a go one day

I am reminded of a certain Strongblades thread wherein the person asking opinion was then advised to look not just at the history of interactions but to take a good look at the item as pictured. Going ahead and ignoring what was readily apparent, they then report back that the "bullet he took for the team" confirmed that it was a dud.
I had once bought what were obviously two trash swords for the scabbards just for transport of good swords but it remains one of my own serious miscalculations. The scabbards turned out to be worse than what I knew were trash swords. $40 was not a big blow and I did end up with some LOTR fittings and some blades with threaded rod tangs around here somewhere. I have no recollection of what I did with the cardboard scabbards.

Ive seen these exact hilts before. I'd bet cash they buy 20$ sword hilts, bang out a cheap damascus blade, screw it on and call it a day.

Call me suspicious, but I don't believe that 31 people would give 5 star reviews to an $80 katana, with none feeling less enthusiastic.

I'm a little suspicious of the OP to be honest, though I hate to be that guy. He's asking for opinions, but has three swords from the company, and his only two posts are positive towards an otherwise unheard of or disliked company.

His buddy bought nearly everything they make plus what he bought, it would seem that he would get some opinion there.
