I didn't even notice the weight for the hanger, ouch that's like full size sword weight.
Yeah I really like how the sabre looks. I actually really thought it was an Austrian 1904 officers sabre before I opened the tab for it.

Yeah! I guess it handles well. Still no Rapier or Smallsword Machete!

The Bowie, Sax, Hunting Sword, Dueling saber look intriguing. Damn my left wing appendage, as the shell handguard on that hunting sword appears non-ambidextrous. Cold Steel is an empire of effing coolness, even the critics got to agree.

Ha, Smallsword machete...THAT (blunt, light, tapered insanity) would be quite the feat, but give credit to CS if they attempt such Willy Wonka farcical nuttiness as most companies don't even attempt to fly the freak flag, because sometimes they smoke a home run out of the park with a novel offering.

Indeed--a couple things on here really intrigue me, hanger and long seax especially.
Plus I love what they're doing with their whole "Cheap Shot" archery line. As someone whose taken in old age to do most of his archery for small game and "garbage" game (coyote, rattlesnake etc), stump shooting and bowfishing, it's really nice to have good stuff that nevertheless won't break the bank when it gets inevitably trashed.

Most of my item of interest are way pricey for CSStuff Some of the stuff you can get at more reasonable price ranges if you buy during Summer/Christmas specials or factory seconds section at Special Projects or other sites that offer clearance/close out pricing. If you purchase from main Cold Steel site you will be skinned alive. I've been eyeing their CPM 3V offerings that although less expensive than the competition are still pricey. Last year, for instance, I bought an AK47 field knife on clearance for under $90, though that was a pretty rare pick. I still haven't pulled the trigger on a Magnum (12" bld.) Warcraft that I see under $160...ALOT of 3V at that price point.

yeah cold steel has the largest difference i think, most other manufacturers msrp is like 120% what it goes for from retailers like koa or other places, but cold steel is like 150%

Yeah the weight of the Italian dueling sabre would seem more appropriate but it still seems nice looking in concept. Honestly these two may be the only ones from CS I actually buy new.

Their marketing copy is still complete and utter baldfaced bullcrap. I just keep cracking up reading those product descriptions.

We coming up with similar figures on the hunting sword 24 inch blade 2lb 2oz weight?
I don't know but it doesn't seem super heavy to me. However there other 1917 was similar but I didn't like it.
