A few years ago I met a wonderful woman with the last name Brinkman. We got to talking and she mentioned having Prussian ancestry, that part of her family moving sometime during Hitler's rise to power or during the Weimar period.
It made me think of something I read online once where a pattern of sword was referred to as a Brinkman-Säbel. I can't find it though now, And I've been looking sort of on and off for around about 2 years now.
Was this an invention of my imagination or has anyone else heard of this as well? I can swear I saw it; clear as day but can't remember any details. I'll also be posting this to the blankwaffen.de forums if I can remember my login.

You aren't thinking of the Blutcher Sabel right?

I could only google a German saber sports fencer with the name Brinkmann and a museum curator (perhaps the museum exhibits a saber??). But both with double n. And the "Brinkman saber saw".
