Sale is up at Tod's Cutler, got an email about it, you have to use discount codes but there are some good deals there.
Just signed up myself, are the codes sent exclusively by email?

I have been browsing the filipino makers and so far not much happening, same same with Legion usa. I'm on the waiting list with a couple retailers for a Legacy/CAS Musso bowie but no luck so far. They only make 100 a year to keep the interest up.

Yeah, if that Lionheart tunic were a little more red, and had only one or two lions to reflect Richard's time as Duke of Normandy and while he was on the Third Crusade, I'd be all over it. Some great deals there, but already have most of those bases covered.

For us Europeans: www.swords-and-more.com in Germany has a 20% discount, but be careful, sometimes for 25% overprized swords. www.lamnia.com in Finland has 5-12% discount for some swords, and they're cheaper than German stores in general. Qapla'!

As a Canadian I am an outsider looking in on the Black Friday Phenom. We have it now, but the deals are never as awesome as in the US and less people get hurt/killed here then in the states over a toaster or TV.
Anyway I look around at sword deals and it seems to me sword dealers never have the breakneck deals I see on Consumer Electronics, Housewares and other items on black friday/cyber monday.
Am I just not looking in the right place?

In a nutshell, if your profit margin is between 7-15% on average like it is for most sword sellers, then yeah, you can't really offer much more than 10% off. Sometimes manufacturers will lower their margins a little to move stock, liquidate scratch and dent items or give discounts for bulk orders over a certain amount, but generally serious sword sellers who price competitively just offer everyday value - every day is a sale..! From the KoA website FAQ page:It's a pretty tough market, no-one gets into functional swords for the $$$ that is for sure! (or if they do they end up having a meltdown and quit the market in disgust like with what happened to Wiwingti and many others along the way..).
10% is a darn good deal at KoA prices, in many cases they won't make a dime, but just free up some cash.. Can't ask any company to do much more than that I would think.. (hope!).
