I purchased a Windlass Ulfberht after a bad week at work on a inebriated whim. After it's arrival I have decided that I like the sword. Well, I actually quite like the BLADE itself. I went through the sword construction database and unfortunately it's not one of the swords that has been posted. Does anyone out there have the measurements of the tang (or pictures of it) so I can have a bit of heads up before I get too froggy with any project ideas? Also, I have tested the fittings with a magnet and they have a decent draw, however some stainless can have decent draw too. Does anyone definitively know if the fittings are mild steel (or not)?

Not sure about the tang. I was looking online for that info as well
Specs that I found online were:
Blade: 30 inches Hilt: 4 inches Overall: 36 inches Guard Height: 6.5 inches POB: 3.8 inches from base of guard COP: 19-20 inches from base of guard

Whatever the metal is on the hilt fittings, they react rather quickly with wood glue so I'm guessing not stainless steel?
