The name Deepeeka doesn’t do much for me but I believe it is mostly from a past reputation that they are trying to overcome. I like the statistics except for the weight, which is not that much out of line with many other replicas. I understand EN45 steel is good but have no experience with it. It comes with a leather wood core scabbard w/belt, an idea that I really like. All in all I like it and wouldn’t be adverse to ordering one if I was in the market. Unfortunately it is out of stock at the moment.

It does appear that the package is priced less than the price of having a scabbard and suspension done. If you have a sword in need of a scabbard.....

I bought one of these awhile back and had KOA sharpen it. Reason for the purchase is I wanted that hilt type for my collection and it is the only game in town. It is not a bad sword especially for the price.
Ended up later getting a custom Ollin with the same hilt from a forum member.

If it's for mostly display then it's not too bad and wont hurt the wallet too much

Wouldn't it be kind of tough to fit this scabbard to something else? Blade only 30 inches and the profile of the blade probably not being exactly like anything else. Seems like high odds you would either get a loose fitting scabbard or rubbing against the blade.

It is decent for the price. It reminds me of the old MRL Viking swords and the earlier DSA swords. Nothing loose on it and the steel seems good. At 3 lb 1 oz, it is not that bad handling. Again, I have not done any cutting and KOA does charge a hefty 30 bucks to sharpen it. I figure even the ones you can sharpen have a thicker edge than other ones like modern Windlass.

Yeah, And it's almost 3 pounds for a 30 inch blade one hander. But if you already have an,existing 30 inch blade sword that fits the general profile and really don't want to pay for a good scabbard, I guess it could be a choice.
