Hi everyone, newbie here. Im martial artist and sword enthusiast. Im planning to make transformation to my old Ronin katana. I would like to make somekind of a antique look-a-like katana, so it needs to look old, any good ideas for it ?? tsuba, kashira and fuchi must at least change, and how to make patina to tsuba, salt and vinager perhaps ? good way to make tsuka ito look like really used ? If theres experts around here, im really grateful all of your tips.

Depends on the material.
Boiling iron in hydrogen peroxide will rapidly rust/patina iron. Also boiling in very heavy black coffee mixture will add the brown...
For patina of non-ferrous like bronze brass and copper you can use Ammonia vapor (be safe!), or chemicals do patina as well.
