Nice. He has tuned his XIIIas quite a bit over the years and it looks like he has found an optimal range for cutters. A lot pointier over the years too The longer grip brings the pob back just about exactly as much as my old classic while maintaining much the same other specifications. The weight just about identical. Weird, in a good way I'm sure. Still the same flexible blade but a bit more pronounced in the hex cross section. There had been a clamor for heavier XIIIas years ago but this looks like a return to the lights. I always liked cutting with mine and it has been a long time now but it was always a treat for unpegged stumps and empty bottles, and jugs. You are making it look easy! Attachments:

Haven't seen one of these beasts 'in stock' anywhere in ages. I'd love to hear your final impressions.

I have updated the introduction section with more information regarding the design of this sword as opposed to previous ATrim XIIIa swords. Essentially, this XIIIa.2 was based on a later 15th century type XIIIa, rather than the larger, heavier 13th and 14th century warswords. This Bohemian sword, XIIIa.6 from the Records of the Medieval Sword, was the primary inspiration:

Added an additional cutting video of a multiple mat cut and added my final thoughts.
