It's been a long time since I have handled a Jian, this one felt natural in the handle. I like the San Mai construction on both the Jian and Dao. The Dao has the standard cord wrapped handle which was very tight and no movement what so ever. I didn't have time to take a bunch of pictures just yet just had time to snap a picture of just the two of them together as I plan to take some good pictures when it's sunny out and not a dreary day. Having made two purchases back to back from the same company in the same field of weaponry, I am very impressed with the quality of the items received.

Hey Feydrid yeah took me like 3 or 4 tries to get the lighting right enough to see the pattern the sun was going down and had to get just the right angle :) they have been handling great! I actually like the dao a little better and I can see why they said the Jian took longer to master as I seem to have more control with it versus the Jian. As far as picture #7 goes I checked the blade and it doesn't show that so I'm wondering if it was just some residue from when I took it out of the scabbard as I had some tiny bits of leather when I took it out just now that I just wiped off.
