DSA was Legacy Arms? When was that? I want to get a Legacy Arms Excalibur, but not if it was/is made by whomever DSA gets to make their swords. I read that the LA Excalibur is a good sword - cuts and handles well, but is a bit heavy, so it does not seem to me that it is made by the same people who make DSA swords. I believe, Wes, that he meant 'basically the same kind of builds' where they were a little heavier/tougher and basic swords. He's not implying they're the same company. Whew! Thanks Faldarin/Adrian. Now to continue the wait until the LA Excalibur is back in stock! Did I mention 'I hate waiting'.

the dsa excalibur looks better imo then the legacy arms one, but then again the legacy arms has a better reputation as a company, tho their longer blades have a soft temper, so soft in fact that even koa wont list them as "battle ready", both are ok but flawed, but for just looking pretty without doing anything else with it, the dsa one might be ok

From reviews I've seen, it has no problem cutting, which would be an issue if the temper was too soft. Yes, it is a matter of preference about the looks of the two. Personally, although DSA's looks good, I prefer the look of the LA one which has a gold ring on the handle that between the guard and the steel wrapped handle/grip, a longer grip, and a blade shape which I like better than DSA, plus an overall longer length to the sword. I hope they are back in stock soon! I hate waiting.
