Thank you. I'm very happy with Hanbon Forge. Both of my swords measure exactly as specified and the wraps are tight and not too bad looking. Both sayas are tight but not too tight to struggle with. Thumb pressure against the guard will dislodge it. Pete Attachments:

Nice! These look like they turned out pretty well, really like the sword with the blue ito. I'm pretty particular to that color scheme, and this turned out looking pretty nice. Good to hear the ito is pretty tight as well.

Good looking swords, I particularly like the Waki with the double bo-hi.

Wow, nice swords.
I've been thinking of getting a second sword for a long time and the wine red ito is that I've always thought of. Your picture made me so confident that I ordered one right away. If I have to eat noodles for a month or so I will blame you :-)
One thing I was hesitant about was what tsuba that would be best with the vine red color. I concidered another tsuka for a long time, but your sword looks so good so I ordered it with the blossom tsuba as well. I hope it's ok for me to copy your idees. The only thing I did different is to take a black rayskin samegawa and a stock 9260 spring steel blade. Even if I really like your blade, that would probably take longer time to get. I ordered it on august the 2nd and they shipped it 24 hours later. Damn fast :-)

Squiddy.
Thank you. Sorry its been awhile since Ive been online. The Kat is my warrior themed sword and the Wak is my cherry blossom themed sword. Copy all you want. I have no patents on anything and it makes me feel good that someone thinks highly of something I own. The only thing I would have done differently is folded steel instead of mono. The Kat is folded and clayed and the grain is very visible. Mono with clay does not have the grain but is more polished than the Kat. It also scratches easier. The Kat is very durable where the Wak has some cutting scratches that are not easily seen but I know they are there. Maybe I shouldn't be cutting tree branches but I didn't want to drag out the loppers. Sword practice and yard work with one swing.Plus it keeps the wife away so she can't criticize the job. Good luck with yours. Pete

Nice They do good work. I like the handle wrap. I'm am more a traditionalist. Maybe my next will be a battle wrap. That does look great. Pete.
